The Nyton comprises of 10 bedrooms, some of which overlook the unique fenland countryside and historic Ely Cathedral.

Our endeavour is to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere for your stay whether extended or just passing through historic Ely.

Warm and inviting, these newly decorated rooms are comfortably furnished and decorated to a high standard to offer delightful surroundings inside and out. All rooms have en suite facilities, comfortable seating arrangements, central heating, colour TV, radio and beverage making facilities.

Check-in Information

We offer a flexible approach to check-in times although generally check-in time is 12pm and check-out time is at 10.30am.
Should you wish to check-in earlier please telephone reception on 01353 662459.

When you accept accommodation, on the telephone or in writing, you may be entering into a legally binding contact with the proprietor of the establishment. This means that if you cancel a reservation, fail to take up the accommodation or leave prematurely, the proprietor may be entitled to compensation if the accommodation cannot be re-let for all or a major part of the booked period. If a deposit has been paid it is likely to be forfeited and an additional payment may be demanded.

The Nyton is situated in a quiet residential area of the City of Ely in 2 acres of attractive grounds adjoining Ely Golf Club's 18 hole golf course for which reduced green fees are available to our guests.

The Nyton comprises of 10 bedrooms, some of which overlook the unique fenland countryside or historic Ely Cathedral. Each is comfortably furnished and decorated to a high standard with en-suite facilities , central heating, telephone, colour TV, ironing, radio & beverage making facilities.

Ely's magnificent Cathedral & City Centre are within 10 minutes walk, the railway station and beautiful waterside area (with it's boat trips, riverside walks, fishing facilities, cafes, antique shops and gardens) are just 15 minutes walk.

The Nyton has free secure on-site car parking.

The Restaurant is attractively designed to provide just the right atmosphere for functions, lunches, or that special evening dinner for two. The Restaurant has seating for 40 people.

Our menu offers a varied selection of cuisine to a particularly high standard. Good food must be complemented by fine wines and our wine list reflects the same high standards and wide selection as our menu.

Looking for a wedding location? We are licensed for civil wedding ceremonies. Conferences and meetings can also be catered for.

The Nyton is in a superb location to explore Ely's Historic Cathedral and its surrounding 'City', or perhaps you will venture a little further afield, returning to a relaxing drink in our oak panelled bar. Garden Restaurant

Offering fine cuisine, warm and inviting décor, excellent service and convenience, it is easy to see why the Garden Restaurant has become a destination for many locals, as well as those visiting from out of town.

The Garden Restaurant is attractively designed to provide just the right atmosphere for functions, business lunches, or that special romantic evening dinner for two. You may also want to spend a special occasion at the restaurant such as a birthday or anniversary.

The Nyton recently welcomed renowned local chef Barry Smith, who proved highly popular with diners at Needham's and the Ely Golf Club.

The menu offers a varied selection of traditional English food to a very high standard made with the freshest in local produce. In addition to quality home cooking from the hands of our chef, the restaurant offers an extensive wine list that reflects the same high standards and wide selection as our menu.

The restaurant can comfortably seat 40 people and is also able to accommodate private events and parties.

Opening Times

The Garden Restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Should you have he need to dine at times not mentioned below, please contact reception and we will be happy to accommodate your requirements.

Breakfast: 7.30am until 9am
Lunch: 12pm until 2pm
Dinner: 7pm until 8.30pm
Sunday Lunch is served from 12pm until 2pm

The Nyton is the venue for events in Ely. The Nyton is equally delighted to host corporate events, conferences, meetings, weddings and birthday parties, and already have many events booked for 2010.

For business meetings, celebrations or special occasions our function room and private bar is available for your exclusive use.

The Nyton is in an exceptionally quiet location that enjoys a wonderful rural aspect. There is ample on-site parking and we are easily accessed from the A10 and within 10 minutes walking distance of Ely City.

Capacities are up to 100+ for receptions, conferences and functions.

Terms & Conditions

1. Once you have decided on the date of your Wedding please check availability with us and confirm your booking in writing.

2. We will then request a non-refundable deposit to the Nyton of £100.00.

3. We must have final numbers 14 days before your function.

4. An invoice will be presented to you for payment 14 days before the event with payment of this invoice due 7 days before the event.

5. A final invoice including any extra food, all drink etc will be presented for payment shortly after the event for which payment will be requested within 7 days.

6. Guests must not bring their own alcohol onto the premises.

Cancellation

In the event of cancellation, the following charges will apply:
Up to 4 weeks notice - 75% of estimated bill
Between 4 and 8 weeks notice - 50% of estimated bill
Between 8 and 12 weeks notice - 25% of estimated bill
Over 12 weeks notic - Deposit only

Whether you wish to celebrate your wedding with a close circle of family and friends or with a larger number of joyful well-wishers, the Nyton understands that with so many personal details to look after, you want to have as few hassles as possible when planning your big day.

Because the Nyton is small, we can help make your wedding the event of your dreams. Our skilled wedding planners will do their utmost to cater for all your needs and is always available to discuss your detailed wedding requirements. It is usual that you and your party are the only guests at the Nyton on the day, making it a totally intimate affair.

The Nyton can cater for weddings of all sizes. Weddings for up to 45 can be catered for in the Nyton's Garden Restaurant. For parties over 45, a *marquee would be erected in the Nyton's beautiful garden to suit your size requirements.

Our Wedding Packages give a hint of what possibilities await you at the Nyton. They have been devised to take the stress out of arranging your wedding reception, but keep in mind that no two weddings are the same. Changes, personal touches and plans with 'personality' are welcome.

Licensed For Civil Wedding Ceremonies

We are licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies. We can cater for up to 40 people in our lovely lounge area or up to 100 guests in our dining room.

The Nyton provides an ideal setting for your wedding, together with the fantastic garden for your photographs.
